Course description: This course is designed for students who have no/little previous knowledge in Korean. It aims to introduce the basics of Korean, including Korean alphabet, Hangul, grammar and spoken Korean used for daily communications. Each lesson will cover four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and interactive practices through which students can use the language actively and develop communication skills. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to read and write Korean characters; grasp basic grammar; master some essential cultural knowledge; conduct simple conversations about daily life such as greetings and introducing themselves, talking about family members, express likes and dislikes, asking time/price/location etc.
