Intermediate Chinese II (2019 Spring)

This course is a continuation of Intermediate Chinese I. It further focuses on building skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students start to do compound conversations and reading comprehension, write short passages, and use more idiomatic expressions to express themselves. A large amount and wide range of cultural knowledge is introduced. After completion of this course, students will master about 1200 Chinese characters, all common grammar and the cultural knowledge to communicate fluently with native speakers on familiar topics of daily life. The course is also designed for those who are preparing for HSK Test Level 4 and want to pass the test with high scores. Free textbooks, free registration for senior citizens of 65+, free retaking if not satisfied with the result.
Duration: 90 minutes/class, 30 hours in total.

Textbook: New Practical Chinese Reader 2 or 3 (ISBN 978-7-5619-2895-0), (depending on students' level)

Class Times: 7:00-8:30PM, 1/22-4/4, Tuesdays & Thursdays
